Waiting for the Train

~ Date of Last Update: 05.23.11 ~

We spend most of our lives waiting...

for the time to go home after a long day's work...
for our date to show up...
for the cake to rise...
for the water to boil...
for that much needed cup of coffee from the barista...
that 16 yr old's driver's permit...

for the love of our life...
that much-awaited baby...

the sunrise...
the sunset...

that most of the time, the focus of our lives is on what hasn't happened yet,
instead of the moment that's passing us by.

HOW ARE YOU LIVING YOUR LIFE?

HOW AM I LIVING MINE?

I started this blog with no agenda in mind. Spur of the moment! But today, I had this bulb that lit up above my head *ding* do you see that flicker?

I want this to be a place where I can witness my imagination, thoughts and dreams come into play, and hopefully tie lassos around them so I can see them come into fruition one by one. A small step at a time.

Everyone has dreams, below is a captured list of mine beginning from 2006, with items duly scratched off as I achieve them. (Thus, this will be my one and only post -- only, it is dynamic, and definitely will get longer as time goes by):

*pink = done
* brown = status/remarks/update

1. Sing and dance in a concert a la J-Lo (with matching earpiece and mic)…yeah, right! but I did something pretty close to that at last year’s dance recital, but sing??? Who knows… CHECK! 20062. Meet Tiger Woods in person, shake his hand, take a pic with him and talk to him (and come home with an autograph) -- well, I made the beginning of this list back in 2001, way before his evil misconduct...so I guess I'm changing my mind now. But he's still good in golf and I think I still want to watch him play, just for the sake of scratching this 9-yr old item off my list... Maybe one day at Pebble Beach (8/24/10)...
3. Win a target shooting competition (or at least participate in one)…I shoot soda cans with my airsoft gun in the backyard…does that count? (Hubby and I started going to the range again and I've been shooting the AK and I think I'm doing really good at it! (8/24/10)
